Stay Safe

Recently, we decided to design and create a run of special edition t-shirts as a thank you gift to our Facilities team. Their endless work keeping our facilities up and running and their ongoing commitment to safety in all of its forms is integral to our company’s mission and operations. At AIR COMPANY, our facilities team is constantly working with sophisticated industrial machinery. It’s challenging manual work that requires the utmost attention to multi-step processes and meticulous detail to a variety of important safety precautions. With our “Stay Safe” shirt, we’re celebrating the value of safety here at AIR COMPANY.

To kick the process off, we photographed every piece of safety signage in our Brooklyn facility, AIR Factory 01. We’re talking about every sticker, sign and facility graphic promoting the safe usage and conduct of our technology throughout the space. We then compiled them into a single collage, using the shirt as our canvas to showcase these images—an assortment of warning notices and visual representations of what can go wrong if safety is not prioritized.

The shirt champions these commonplace graphics as pieces of compelling visual imagery in and of themselves. It’s a small celebration of the ubiquitous industrial images we see every day, rightfully highlighting them as important elements of any safe working environment with a visual appeal all their own. They are, perhaps, the most important pieces of visual communication within our entire company. They empower us to stay safe.
