Photographer Lauren Coleman on AIR Eau de Parfum

AIR Eau de Parfum is special to us. It’s our way to show the world and the beauty industry the potential that carbon conversion technologies, and AIRMADE™ Technology specifically, can have on transforming industries. It’s a beacon to all of those creating fragrance that there is a better way for it to be produced, one that transforms waste into a resource that benefits our planet and all that call it home.

To properly showcase the beauty, creativity and technological innovation behind our debut fragrance, we, of course, had to tap the fragrance photographer herself, New York-based
Lauren Coleman. If her name doesn’t ring a bell, chances are high that you’ve seen some of her work grace your social feed. Following two full days of shooting AIR Eau de Parfum, we chatted with the photographer about her thoughts about the fragrance and what inspired the shoot.

What was your first impression of AIR Eau de Parfum?

LC

I was initially impressed by the seamless elegance of the bottle's design. The contrast between the smooth glass and the intricate ribbed cap struck me immediately. This visual contrast seemed to encapsulate a perfect blend of modernity and sophistication, the interplay of luxury aesthetics and functional design.

AC

What do you envision when you smell AIR Eau de Parfum? What intrigued you the most about that scent?

LC

While my primary focus has been on the bottle's design and the technological innovation behind AIR COMPANY, the scent of AIR Eau de Parfum holds its own allure, it is layered and well-crafted. That said, my foremost interest lies in the design of the bottle and the pioneering ethos of AIR COMPANY.

AC

Can you tell us a bit about your inspiration for the shoot?

LC

I aimed to capture the essence of the bottle's aesthetics, emphasizing its clean lines and showcasing how light interacts with its surfaces. This visual representation was a natural extension of the fragrance's purity and sophistication. One of my goals was to highlight the bottle's elegance and match it with the brand's commitment to sustainability and innovation.

AC

What message did you want these images to convey?

LC

Through these images, my intention was to convey a feeling of optimism and innovation. The visuals show how the brand pushes boundaries and embraces new ideas while also paying homage to timeless design. It's about looking forward while being connected to the past.

AC

Anything else you would like to add?

LC

Just a note on the impeccable balance between form and function exemplified by AIR Eau de Parfum. It's a shining illustration of how design, technology and sustainability can seamlessly coalesce to yield something truly astonishing. The metamorphosis of AIR COMPANY's journey into a fragrance that epitomizes luxury and environmental conscientiousness is a narrative that deserves both acclaim and celebration.
