Overview
A fossil-free foundation for fuels and chemicals
A fossil-free foundation for fuels and chemicals
AIRMADE® Methanol is AIRCO’s catalytic pathway for producing methanol from carbon dioxide (CO₂) and hydrogen (H2).
It replaces fossil-based methanol production with a scalable, industrial alternative designed for real-world deployment. Built on AIRCO’s AIRMADE® platform, the pathway is designed for scale, integration, and repeatability.
Benefits
Renewable
Methanol production without fossil feedstocks
Compatible
Compatibility with existing methanol uses and downstream derivatives
Flexible
Flexible deployment across sites and markets
Low-carbon
Lower lifecycle carbon intensity than conventional methanol

Process
Inside our methanol pathway
Inside our methanol pathway
AIRMADE® Methanol converts CO₂ and hydrogen into methanol through a catalytic reactor system.
The process is designed to operate across variable feedstocks and site conditions, whether deployed as a standalone unit or integrated into an existing facility.
Applications
A core molecule, re-engineered
A core molecule, re-engineered
Methanol is a foundational input across fuels, chemicals, and emerging energy systems, supporting various applications.

Paths to deployment
AIRCO offers two paths to deploy AIRMADE® Methanol:
Technology licensing
License the AIRMADE® Methanol process and catalyst package through AIRCO’s Catalysts & Processes business for integration into new or existing methanol facilities.
Integrated systems
Deploy engineered systems built around the AIRMADE® Methanol process with AIRCO’s Advanced Manufacturing team, from design through commissioning.
